Colleen Dunlap
CEO/Co-Founder

Colleen Dunlap is the CEO and Co-Founder of StoneLock. A seasoned professional with over 20-years of business, technology and manufacturing experience, she leads the company in delivering innovative and quality products that ensure security, accuracy and privacy concerns are kept top of mind. Colleen is frequently called upon across the security industry to discuss the latest in biometric technology and share expert perspective on the future of secure and reliable biometric authentication applications across a variety of industries. She is a champion for finding secure solutions to meet the challenges of today’s threat-laden environment. A well-known face across the security, biometrics and access control industries, Colleen is a respected leader amidst her peers given her demonstrated commitment to advancing the industry to meet today’s security needs. Her success as a leader can be seen in the rapid growth of StoneLock, which is now engaged with 35% of the Fortune 100 companies. As StoneLock continues to grow, the company’s primary mission stays the same - to be the leader in bringing new, innovative and quality products to market that are solution focused and provide a truly revolutionary approach to how problems are solved. Colleen earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Kansas State University. She supports a number of worthy causes, including the American Cancer Society and the American Diabetes Association.

David Dunlap
Sr. Vice President/Co-Founder

David D. Dunlap, Co-Founder and Senior Vice President at StoneLock, is responsible for corporate planning, corporate strategy, marketing, internal and external communications and legal. He represents StoneLock in the field to both the government and commercial business sectors. Prior to co-founding StoneLock with his wife Colleen, David spent more than 30 years working in a successful family business, SOR Controls, founded in 1946 by his father, Roy Dunlap, and based in the Kansas City area. SOR manufactured a broad line of high-quality mechanical and electronic sensor products, serving a global base of industrial process control markets including power, oil and gas, petrochemical, and nuclear. David culminated his tenure with SOR serving his last ten years as Chairman and CEO, leading the company of 180+ employees through a very successful period in which sales grew from $22 to $36M. While dramatically improving key domestic and international relationships, the company also maintained the highest quality and delivery standards, recording a decline in product returns and actual improvements to on-time delivery during the same period. Stewardship of a family business brought a wealth of global experience to David, including hands-on exposure to a wide variety of industrial control products, process control systems, and advanced manufacturing systems. Under his tenure at SOR, the majority of the team had at least 10 years of experience with the company and some more than 40 years. David brings this experience to StoneLock where he fosters and maintains a positive work environment while encouraging employee development and professional growth. David holds a B.A. in Literature from the College of Wooster. He enjoys music, reading, photography, snow skiing, his hoverboard, trampoline, biking, tropical beaches, movies, sports, techy stuff, eating well, being outside, playing video games, and vacationing with Colleen.

Jeff Sebek
Vice President, Business Development

Jeff Sebek is the Vice President for Business Development at StoneLock, where he leads all global sales and business development activities. A founding member of StoneLock, along with co-founders David & Colleen Dunlap, Jeff oversees the go-to-market strategies and commercialization of all StoneLock products. He closely works with the engineering team to shape the development roadmap for future StoneLock innovations and products. Jeff has over eight years of experience in the security and technology industry, and brings a combined eighteen years of sales leadership, training and marketing experience to the team. Prior to joining StoneLock, Jeff spent eleven years in the healthcare industry where he held sales, sales leadership, and national sales training positions at both Johnson & Johnson and Amgen. During his tenure, he spearheaded multiple large-scale new business development projects, as well as technical training programs to launch several successful brands. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University.

John Fortino
Vice President, Operations

John Fortino is the Vice President of Operations at StoneLock, where he leads all product development and manufacturing activities. A founding member of StoneLock, along with co-founders David & Colleen Dunlap, John works closely with the business development team to understand the industry needs for the StoneLock technology and to bring to fruition the development of innovative products, which satisfy those needs. John has over twelve years of executive leadership, and a combined twenty-seven years of product development experience. For the first half of his career, he was responsible for the development of automated test equipment to support the airlines in the aviation industry. Prior to joining StoneLock, John spent nine years in the industrial process control market at SOR Controls as the Vice President of Engineering working for David & Colleen Dunlap. During his tenure, he played a key role in the strategic planning of the company and spearheaded the technology transfer of an ultrasonic level indicator from a company in Australia. John holds both Bachelor and Master of Science Degrees in Electrical Engineering from The University of Kansas. He is highly involved in his church and enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys. He also enjoys singing and arranging music.

Jim Trani
CTO

Jim Trani is the Chief Technology Officer of StoneLock.  As CTO, Jim creates the technology vision of the company and then translates that vision into new products, through the management of the engineering teams.  As a biometric solutions provider, StoneLock is a high technology company engaged in a rapidly shifting marketplace.  Jim works closely with key clients and emerging technologies to insure that the company’s continuous technology growth is driving the growth of biometrics within any market requiring identity and credential management.

Jim has over forty years of experience in research and development of complete engineering solutions including professional licenses in electrical and mechanical engineering.  For the past twenty years, his work has been concentrated in the physical security industry where he has been the architect of video and access control system development for leading solution providers including Infographic Systems/GE Security, Pelco/Schneider Electric, Compass Technologies/Wheelock and SoftwareHouse/American Dynamics/Tyco Security Products.  His experience as an architect covers all aspects of security solutions from the Graphical User Interface to the edge devices in the field.  He considers his strength as an individual developer to be advanced analytics on Linux-based field hardware.

Jim has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Loyola-Marymount University and an MBA from Pepperdine University. While he thrives on perfecting the analytical analysis of human faces, his true passion lies in the audio and video analytical analysis of birds.  Jim and his wife are birders.  Together they have made it their life goal to decipher bird language and improve the bond between humans and birds through communications.
